Before we step into DIAGE Festival 2026, we’re taking you deeper into the artists shaping this year’s festival. Today: Fabrizio Di Salvo, an artist working at the intersection of sound, movement and light.
He brings Le Slie’s, a self-built instrument inspired by the Leslie speaker, as both performance and installation. Spinning metal discs are struck by a mechanism to make sound, while light makes their movement visible.
Between his intention and the instrument’s behaviour there is a constant negotiation — and what keeps him coming back is that it never becomes completely predictable. A technical limit or an unexpected sound can open a direction planning alone would never reach.
