The Presto!? Records boss, experimental musician and visual artist Lorenzo Senni created his own space in the dance music sphere when he released his highly regarded album ‘Quantum Jelly’ on Editions Mego in 2012. Described as ‘a sadistic scientist that is ripping the spinal cord out of trance and dangling it before our eyes’, Senni coined the term “Pointillistic Trance” to define his style: deconstructed sounds that still retain the euphoria, emotional tension and vividness. His subsequent 2016 release ‘Persona’ on the legendary Warp Records was awarded “Honorary Mention” at Prix Arts Electronica, one of the most prestigious prizes in digital culture and music.

He also worked under different monikers as side projects. His label Presto!? has released a slew of albums from high profile artists like Florian Hecker, DJ Stingray and Carsten Holler, just to name a few. His works also extend to the realm of cinema and theatre, composing for Yuri Ancarani’s multiple award winning film “Da Vinci” at 55th Venice Biennale and Francesco Fantini’s The Challenge, for example. In addition, he collaborated with other artists with the likes of Tom Kress aka How To Dress Well and Vaghe Stelle & A:RA as One Circle trio.
With a long list of awards and achievements comes an equally long list of memorable performances and exhibitions. Lorenzo has performed at numerous international festivals notably CTM, Sonar Barcelona, Danau, Terraforma and Primavera Sound. His work was also displayed at myriads of world-famous venues such as MACBA, Centre Pompidou, Berghain and ICA London. We cannot be more pumped to see him in his element at DIAGE festival this year.
