This live audiovisual performance inspired by Stanisław Lem’s Solaris—a mysterious, sentient entity that covers an entire planet, yet remains fundamentally beyond human understanding—the work asks what intelligence might look like when it exists outside the limits of human perception.

MONOCOLOR, the alias of Vienna-based audiovisual artist Marian Essl, whose practice moves across sound, image, light, and space. His work creates immersive environments through the interplay of real-time sound and generative visuals. Sound shapes image. Image responds to sound. The environment continuously transforms, exploring emergence, identity, systems, and the relationship between nature and technology.
